    Should we keep Coutts?

NC wants him. His contract expires soon.

It's a definite "yes" for me; I think he will be very good with a proper pre-season behind him and could develop a really good combo with Cyrus.

    What does anybody else think?

    difficult one really:

always though he could do a job at RB or CDM but we seem to have other options in Shotton(R & Mascarell/Thorne (CDM)

with him being out of contract at the end of the season if we can get a fee from Sheff Utd I would be tempted to sell.

Pity as those days of Brayford and Coutts terrorising the right hand side of opponents was a very productive period

I say keep him injuries can come thick and fast at times and I think it would be a mistake to let him go at this stage of the season but wouldn't mind if he went on loan with an option to recall.

For our sake, yes. For his, move on.

Even with a full pre-season he (rightly or wrongly) won't be ahead of Hughes/Hendrick/Bryson in CM, Russell/Ward/Dawkins on the wing (assuming Ibe goes back to l'pool) and chances are if we go up we'll sign another mid, too. If we don't he may feature, but I think if we sell any of the current 3 then we'll invest on this area anyway

Nice to have him as an option, but I think for his sake he needs 1st team footy

    agree with togs.

I'd let him go on loan to sheff utd but with a 24 hour recall clause in case we got hit with a load of injuries.

the issue is I don't see where he fits into our system now days.

centre mid he isn't offensive enough. I noticed against southport his natural tendency is to sit back. we need both centre mids to break forward at the right time and link the play. I don't think he's the man.

right back we have shotton and have just signed **** (the funny with some stars in).

right wing forward. not pacey enough. he's a right midfielder not a forward that cuts in. again it just doesn't work tactically for me.

DMF. we're already overloaded in this area. if we want a neat and tidy player in this role we have omar. if we want someone to get their hands dirty we have eustace. if we want the best of both worlds we'll soon have thorne!

so all that considered, where does he fit in unless we get a load of injuries?

    I think he's a good player in a 4-4-2 or possibly ev

Its a difficult one as I like him as a player, but I think his ship has sailed with Derby, in the last year of his contract, we have enough options in mid field so what would be the point of offering him another 3 year deal?

If an offer comes in I suspect he will go, or leave for free in June.

think after so long out with injury the guy needs game time and sat on our bench if he's lucky is not good for him loan him out.
