    re: youngsters coming through

You may be interested to know that one of your youngsters, Kwame Thomas, was sent off when playing for us last night in farcical circumstances. He had been booked earlier, and when he was substituted in the 86th minute the ref decided he was leaving the pitch too slowly. The new player came on, and the ref showed Thomas a yellow card when he was already off the pitch. He had forgotten the first yellow, and the fourth official had to tell him it was a second booking. The new player then had to leave the pitch and we had to play the last few minutes with 10 men. The incident is at the 35 second mark on the link: - view external link

I've only seen him play in the home game with Crewe. He impressed me, constantly harried their defenders and stood up to the physical challenge well for a youngster. Hopefully only a one game ban so he should get more games. The other kid of yours we've got, Alefe Santos was disappointing in the Crewe game. Never really got involved and was subbed after an hour.
