Dr Stuart Waiton says the unsayable

Calls our First Minister out as the hypocrite she is.

A Challenge to the Scottish Government: Are you Charlie?

Does the Scottish Government, infamous for their 'Offensive Behaviour at Football' law, support Charlie Hebdo?

Following events in Paris, the world has rightly come out in defence of free speech. There is no right not to be offended and those who use force to shut people up should be condemned.

Scottish First Minister states that we in Scotland stand ‘absolutely steadfast in our defence of the fundamental freedoms that we all cherish so much’ i.e. the freedom of speech.

The individuals involved in the killings in Paris were offended by a cartoon. Because of this they felt it was within their right to silence those who offended them by using force against the offenders.

And yet, in Scotland, force is used on a weekly basis to arrest people who do nothing more than offend other people: and yet this is called ‘tolerance’. The Offensive Behaviour Act makes being offensive

Seriously I would just take all the sectarian bigots, put them in a boat, and dump them somewhere in sub-Saharan Africa. :/

    Rangers fans prompt Corrie change

    Gray O'Brien
The Coronation Street character Tony Gordon, with Rosie Webster
Coronation Street bosses have changed the script for an episode of the soap after complaints from Rangers fans.
Supporters complained after the character Tony Gordon - played by Scottish actor Gray O'Brien - made a jibe about the Glasgow club.
O'Brien's character had said: "I could no more be interested in Rosie Webster than I could support Glasgow Rangers."
An ITV spokeswoman confirmed that after "dozens" of complaints, the script for a forthcoming episode had been changed.
ITV said that line seemed "to have caused some upset". - view external link

It's pretty lamentable the way the bun tries to pretend that 'Castle Greyskull' is a reference to the Ibrox disaster, or that 'hvn' is a sectarian jibe. :/
