Thread: Is Lawwell doing his old mucker Thompson a favour?

Is Lawwell doing his old mucker Thompson a favour?

Creating some false ballyhoo over a half decent young player in order to generate interest, and a semi respectable fee from some 2nd/3rd tier English club.

Celtic have no need for the boy, they have openly admitted they are trying to reduce the squad size

I once calculated that Graeme Sourness gave his old club £16.75m in transfer fees for the likes of Boumsong, Amoruso, Tugay and others.

I heard that about the Celtic guy saying he wants to reduce the size of his squad - you don't hear that very often from managers.

According to a bloke on the radio recently, The Rangers had a squad of 51 at the start of the season while Celtic have one of 29. Don't know how they calculate those numbers tbh.

I think Celtic have offloaded a few misfiring forwards and an Israeli guy (name escapes me). Looks like Commons is away down south which is a bit wierd for last years POTY tbh. Wonder if Aberdeen should put in a cheeky wee bid for him

    a squad of 51 players.

so they have 40 players inactive every game.

thats a great idea, think they should seek financial advice.
