A potential positive of Ibe being recalled

    Yes, it's a blow. Especially short-term.

However, it could benefit us long term. Think about it: a talented young player, with bags of talent is lacking the experience to get into a top 6 side. He needs games, good coaching, and the chance to shine.

    Where better than Derby?

I think players will look at Ibe, and see his 6 months with us has put him in the frame for a top 6 side's first team. I think a lot of young players will be chomping at the bit to come here and work with McClaren, all in the hope they'll impress.

Some fans won't like this, they want to see us using our own players over people who don't want to be here long term. I think 9 or 10 of our 11 are our players, but that 1 or 2 that aren't can really take us to another level, as history shows us.

So lets hope Ibe goes back to Liverpool and does well, it could stand us in great stead for the future...

I think that would be the case if we stayed in the Championship, but there would be less if we are in the Prem., as teams don't often like to loan out to the competition.

I don't think Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U,
Man City, Tottenham etc will think of us as competition if we go up. Maybe to their detriment, because who knows on our day.
But I do think the likes of these clubs may consider lending us the odd player.

Numerous examples - Sanago to Palace from Arsenal, Man City loaned a player to Everton last year and of course Wisdom to WBA from Liverpool this season.
