I do not post on this forum, but this incident outside of the ground yesterday needs highlighting and would encourage any others who might have been caught up in it to contact Derby County. The following letter to Sam Rush will explain all.

Dear Mr Rush,

My wife and I who are season ticket holders have been parking in the South Stand car park (Car park A) since it has been opened knowing that a delay of anything up to half an hour is expected after the match to allow the away fans to clear but what is not expected is whilst queuing is hundreds of away supporters/hooligans exiting the ground through the said car park being led by police.

We, and others, were immediately surrounded by hoards of screaming foul mouthed fans that were kicking, spitting and rocking our cars whilst we were trapped inside.

Never since the hooligan problems of the seventies have we ever experienced such a terrifying ordeal which was totally ignored by the police. Not one steward was in view and no protecti
