    Dayton/Vigurs swap?

Scott Burns in the Express suggests that we'll do a swap with Oldham. Dayton joined them in May after 4 years with Killie.

Our midfield could be transformed in a few days!

Are they seriously suggesting Vigurs would go to Oldham as part of the deal ?? that must surely be utter pie in the sky. What in gods has Vigurs done to merit such a move. If this came off Oldham talent scout needs to be shot. Fingers crossed hes as daft as he's blind

    Great post.
Also always liked Dayton. Especially at Rugby Park he was always a threat.

Scott Burns of the Express wrote "All sides are keen but deal can't happen until Vigurs is fully fit. He should be fit next week".

Aye but the express has headlined "the ice age is returning" .. "Petrol to hit £8 a gallon in 6 months" and "Prince Charles is Harry's Father" .. aw right the last one was a p1ss take but the express is not averse to talking bollox. If Vigurs pulls this off hes a luckier buugger than Alex McLeish and that takes some doing.

Oldham tried to sign Vigurs when he was out of contract with Ross County - was almost a done deal till he failed a medical - so I think they're genuinely interested.

Oh, and while I don't put a lot of stock in the front pages of the Express, I'd trust anything on Motherwell that carries the Scott Burns byline. Him and Andy Devlin of the Sun are obviously both well in at FP, they must have a hit rate of 90-95% with their stories on us.

Well I guess Stevie Wonder has been keeping tabs on Vigurs for Oldham when hes been with us ... 90-95% hit rare aint hard when they carry two stories a year about us

Hope it happens, and pretty soon at that. Dayton was a decent player at killie. If it comes off it'l surely be a steel for us.

Getting shot of Vigurs is a bonus no matter how you look at it. If he goes to oldham and has 3 good games they will be queing up to come on here and say

"told you Vigurs was a good player he just needed players round about him"

and it will still be p1sh then as it is now. Although frankly I dont care if he goes on to be a really good player (think my mortgage is safe) he has done absolutely zero for us in two years. He is the type of player we do not need and can well do without. Hope to fpuck he doesn't fail the medical again , if true.

I can actually see why Oldham want Vigurs as i think he can be a good player i agree he has been pants for us the majority of the time as not worked out for him here but that happens in football some time look at torres eg couldnt hit a barn door for years goes back to athletico Madrid and scores twice against best team in europe in 1st full game.I do agree though that a swap would be great bit of business as needs to go as not performing but would not be surprised to see him flourish elsewhere
