    442 diamond

    This should be our plan B going forwards , I liked the look of it! An it gets bent in the team. Martin did well at the tip of the diamond and it was interesting seeing Russell playing up top like he did at Dundee utd him an bent up top would give championship defences nightmares. One possible adjustment would be to play Hughes at the tip an Martin up front with bent but that would mean Russell would drop out.

    I think the diamond could work a treat. It will stop teams playing a high back line and squeezing our passing game because Bent is quick, as could be seen yesterday. He will get in behind defences and be an outlet for the team.
    I also think Russell will play up front, it was tried against Southport and yesterday and he can play that role. Martin has all the attributes to play at the tip of the diamond, he likes to drop deep and link play.
