    Manners

On friday i was crossing a road near Cambridge city centre before the game. I saw a car from the corner of my eye on my left. When i got to the curb the car had slowed down to let me pass. The driver smiled and waved me across.

An additional surprise was that the car was a taxi, and the driver was asian.

If it had been Birmingham, the car would have sped up to prevent me crossing, then the driver of whatever ethicity would have cursed me, as if i was in the wrong.

People here say thanks, and give way, and hold doors open. Im going to have to relearn manners. Im as bad as any brummy. Ive got an offer on a house in a cambs village accepted...fingers crossed.

If you go into Nottingham and venture into a NG1 or NG2 area there's a good chance that they would speed up and try to run you over if you wasn't local espically if it was night time...
