    Rovers support & media coverage

I hate to say this but we must have one of the worst set of (so called) supporters going! They! when bothering to turn up, sit quiet, then boo, moan, and bring an awful atmosphere to Ewood! Those who didn't turn up for the cup game will use all the old excuses about ticket prices & the cup final ticket fiasco from 1960. They are the one's who will moan & criticise about every player & expect 100% effort when they can't be bothered themselves! All this has given the Rovers hating media ammunition to slag the club off again! I also find it disgusting that Rovers have only been shown live once this season! I know we've been poor at times but I just wish the town will get back down to Ewood & bring a good positive atmosphere with them through thick & thin times. It's easy to sit there when you're winning the premier league!!!

It just goes to show how many supporters are Glory hunters and lose interest when they are relegated..

It's the same at any club ..people will only pay the high prices the clubs charge when guaranteed success is more or less promised.

    A sad fact of life..

It is also a sad fact of life Alf that I can not afford to go to as many games as I would like to.

    A tad harsh.
The club made a big mistake in putting the prices up. As always, its worth remembering blackburn isnt an afluent place. Its extra money, and we played Swansea. Lunchtime kick off, on TV. And it cost the average fan more to watch a club nobody gives a toss about. Had that been Liverpool, the crowd wouldve been close to full. Against Stoke I expect it to be around the 20 k mark. The club shouldve made it £10 anywhere in the ground for adults, and kids a quid. At least there would have been an atmosphere. As in our support. Go to away games. We have great numbers, who dont stop singing. Usually a great day out following Rovers.

    Understand your frustration and concern.
But, I am constantly amazed that it is expected that the 'ordinary man on the street', should feel 'responsible' for extremely highly paid professionals, engaged in a career of choice. Being fortunate enough to have the chance to live a very advantageous life, needing the added luxury of massed 'support' in order to put a honest 'shift' in.
Please do not get me wrong in this 'cutting remark' towards the individual professional. Yes it is 'nice' to see large gates for every game, and with it a uplifting atmosphere. But, is there really that much money to go around for the 'man on the street'.
But, given our very recent past in particular, and the money mad game as whole, it is not all that surprising to me at least.

    Too bloody true Alfi!
I'm just sick of all the so called fans that claim they stay away because of Venkys.
Just look at previous seasons and see how meagre our gates were after relegation
