So, What's the Verdict on Pringle

Thought he set off well and scored a great goal. Seemed to get lost a bit in the second half but all in all, good to see him back to some form. His crosses have been missed and both Sammon and Derbyshire can feed off these.

Importantly I saw Ben smile on more than one occasion, seemed to be enjoying himself again so perhaps all this transfer nonsense can be put to bed.

For your part Ben, you need to sign a new contract and now. That would show commitment and the fans will return that loyalty.

Offer him whatever he needs to stay. He's awesome.

He's quality and I've never doubted this.

Pringle is a great player. That said the club cannot be held to ransom by the players, and if Pringle is wanting 3x his current wage to sign an extended contract, it may be that he still leaves.

Here's hoping we can find some middle ground on wages and extend his contract

Agreed give him what he wants 3 year contract etc. Although he has had it tough in this level I still believe he has the quality to be good enough in the championship. If we stay up or go down Bens next club is going to be in the Championship guaranteed and he is going to get the money he is wanting from us. Surely it's a no brainier for the club for me, if we give him what he wants and then go down we offer him yo lower end Championship clubs and get a larger fee due to his 2-3 year contract. I assume the money he wants would probably only match the wage Derbyshire gets currently and Ben is more of a saleable asset. Quality left sided players don't grow on trees

It would be abrave or foolish manager who let him go ! Unless he could pocket at least £750,000.

could be all for nothing. heard tonight off one of the millers staff that could be his last game
a couple of people were not happy with his attitude when he left the hospitality area. a lady was very vexed and called him a miserable ignorant dick after she spoke to him as he passed and he just continued walking without even glance or smile.
maybe he didn't hear? who knows but lets hope the millers staff person was wrong

    Caytonmiller,

Who's your source? Sounds like a load of rubbish to me.

Even if it is true, I think I would have a bit of a chip on my shoulder if I was Ben Pringle. He waited patiently to get into the team after Andy Scott signed him then for whatever reason didn't play him, he then delivers two outstanding seasons and is arguably one of our most consistent midfielders in a generation but hits a bit of bad form in the division below the Premiership. What happens? The fickle start their usual diatribe. He has a good game tonight and the fickle want to be his friend again. I'd be peed off with it.

Anyway, the verdict on Pringle is we would be daft to let him go. With the right system and players around him to allow him an extra yard of space he can be devastating, and that certainly includes this division. If he goes, our loss will be someone else's gain.

    She sounds classy...lady ?...

Thought he had a great game almost back to his old self...the goal? Wednesday all over again as he powered an unstoppable left foot peach of a shot...
