Thread: How has nobody mentioned Newton?

    How has nobody mentioned Newton?

By far a massive difference for us tonight. His cross for the first goal was perfect and his skill and attacking intent Is something we've been missing all season.

I now see why Evans got him in early. If he can continue to play like that we will have no worries. (Allbeit we need a goalscorer to finish) His pace and strength have given us something we've not seen this season - normally it's skinny pacey lads with no upper body strength.

The fact that fans - On here anyway - are so blindsided by Derbyshire that they don't seem to see anyone else on the pitch. Threads about apologising after Derbyshire has scored ONE, are sad, pathetic and not surprising from the clique.

Newton was MOTM for me, Pringle and Arnason just behind him. There contributions were fantastic. Arnason putting his life on the line countless times before they got there 1st in the 2nd half. The 2nd was just poor keeping, Collin has been indecisive this season when coming for certain balls, and relies too much of h

I agree I have been hoping Newton got a chance when fit, I knew he was the best signing of the summer, heard a lot about him. Arnie was amazing last night he is the best centreback we have had in years and is total class. I agree the keeper was at fault for the second goal a simple punch was all that was needed

Both Green and Derbyshire had excellent games last night. Your last comment about them must be a joke, and here's me thinking you were trying to write a sensible post.

Excellent point. What is sad and pathetic is not noticing that people have been praising Newton, starting a new thread about it and then giving a backhanded compliment out.

The point was that several people owe a lot of the players an apology. Having been consistently told how they aren't good enough, they showed last night they can be.

    Nothing more nothing less.

I agree Newton had a great game but overall the lack of square pegs in round holes helped tremendously.

Will we play the same set up away from home though?

Newton might not have been playing had Danny Ward not broken down on the way to the stadium.

Not sure if it means his car broke down, or he broke down physically or mentally.. - view external link

I was quite disgusted in Newton actually.

A lad of his age nutmegging and pushing opposition senior pro's out of the way. Very rude.

Firstly I apologies for not seeing David's post containing Newton.

So, in your eyes 1 win/good performance warrants an apology? Get a grip.

You're more concerned with getting one over people. Typical clique.

I tell you what if Derbyshire scores 10, which is what he should be hitting minimum this season, I'll apologies first hand, directly to
