43 Tescos stores to close by April, what about the Fratton ?

Hi all,

Have not been keeping up lately, but I was under the impression that the redevelopment of the car park and surrounding land was going to a new Tescos superstore? I've seen them in the news quite frequently since last year due to debts and money issues etc, but not read anything on if it will affect the Fratton development of the proposed superstore.

They have said this is will go ahead as planned and not effected.

Surely it is the developer who is doing the work not Tesco ? Tesco then lease it back from Robinson and whoever. We walked past Saturday, much groundwork has been completed and the sewage pipes were there waiting to be put in.. All work underway with a completion date of before this coming Christmas
