    Match Report

Great match report in The Sun of last night’s game.

‘If the crazy new PL cash produces games like this every week it will be worth every penny’

‘Because this duo (teams) look capable not only of holding their own among England’s elite but of setting the division alight.’

‘There seems to be a scarcity of English central midfield talent following Lampard and Gerralds international retirements. Hughes 19, just might be the man to plug the gap in the years to come.’

‘Bent ghosted into the six yard box and crashed Dawkin’s cross into the roof of the net – looking every inch as ice cold in front of goal as he was ten years ago.’

They cannot be referring to the team that "Under McClaren has not improved since last season"?

Or that midfield player who "Isn't anywhere as good as some have hyped him up to be"?

    Surely not?

Though I guess we should eb wringing our hands as having been criticised for not signing a key player, apparently recnet signings show he is "just a chequebook manager"!!!

Listened to the game on Ramsplayer and watched highlights today. All round, sounded like a fantastic game of football. We certainly seemed to have the better of the chances

Watching their goals, I was surprised how much stick Bucko copped on Twitter last night for the 2nd. He could have just knocked it out for a corner, granted. But instead I though he was unlucky that his clearance cannoned off their player to Wilson. BUT...Wilson had it with back to goal and Keogh marking him. I felt Keogh let him turn and get a shot off way too easy for me. He should have been tight and forcing him to play the ball away from goal, not allowing him time to turn and get a rasping shot off. I wont even comment on the back header either!

That said, Keogh and Bucko generally look the best of the partnerships we have put out there. I wonder when and where Albentosa will be dropped in

Call out to Brucie - competition from Warnock is certainly having a positive impact on his performances!
