    Happy Birthday . . .

to Derek Lyle today - his 34th. The Tan Man is having a great season and with his QOS total goals standing at 72 he now could overtake Houliston, Alexander and Ches in the all - time scorers list this season. Hard to believe it but it is 13 years next week since he made his debut for the Doonhamers in February 2002.

Those fans who said he was a waste of a wage at the beginning of the season must be feeling rather silly now

I'd say he has played well since he came back and not just this season. How many folk would have thought back in 2002 that Lyle would still be banging them in and be our top scorer well over a decade later ? Marvellous contribution to our club.
