Defies logic to me..he's a 20 year old , who has played 20 consecutive games, why would you suddenly drop him.
As they say you can't please all of the people all of the time !

We'll be losing him when his loan period ends, whether we like it or not.
Maybe he's not the finished article.
But to find two adverse comments on him from the same contributor, at eight minutes' interval and on two separate threads seems a little excessive.
One critique at a time, please. Let's keep the board uncluttered.

I know money is tight (non-existent, probably), but if my dream of just above mid-table in May (and above Vale, certainly) comes off, then I think bids for both Ness and Leigh might be possible.
Scouts are ever-present and we have a philosophy of helping our players move on up, so a year or two at the Alex would be a great 'tick' on their CVs.
Forget Ajose. Lovely lad to watch, a true footballer and team-man, but he's top end Championship, in my opinion.
We seem to have a settled side, including these two midfield (ish) loanees, and a confident bench. Let's not change a current winning formula.
That contributor would be me, I reckon. Tend to repeat myself at times, to repeat myself at times, but we cannot all like the same thing all of the time, now can we? There were several people that I spoke to yesterday, who were not that enamored with Leigh's performance.Originally Posted by VindePays2009

Mick. he may not have had his best game yesterday but two things.
A) No player is on top form every game.
Secondly Leigh is fundamental to us playing 3 at the back, without him we have no one else in the club to play the left wing back role. So then you are having to revert the formation back to 442, that really was a success earlier in the season wasn't it ?
I have to admit it was one of Greg Leighs less influential performance for a long time. He has developed in to a good wing back which has been a great success with the formation change.
Yesterday Greg was wasteful in possession at times bit he still contributed by making some good tackles and interceptions it was they were just few and far between.
As the whole team did not perform against Mk Dons it would be wrong to drop Leigh following a very long and consistent run on one below par performance.
Criticism of Greg Leigh? Everyone had opinions etc but it's stuff like this that makes me question whether others are watching the game games as me. Greg had been essential for us in changing formation and he provides an absolute necessity - which is to almost always be able to find space for the midfielders to hand the ball to so that they can get themselves in a better position in the middle. The amount of times you'll see Ness and Grant use a Leigh pass to improve their own position is insane. Perhaps another case of fans not realising what he does without the ball is just as important as what he does with it.
Mick, you must continue to comment on here. Always worth reading. I don't agree with everything you say (would be a sad world if we all thought the same, maybe that would be the case in Russia) and I certainly disagree about Greg Leigh who has been impressive in recent months. However, I don't think he was at the top of his game yesterday but I would want to persevere with him as I think he is a ***** cog in the machine. Carry in Alexmick!Originally Posted by alexmick
At the end of many games you'll see Greg go and speak to some folks (possibly his family) before leaving the pitch. I'm sure they'll be stern critics of his play as well as giving him every encouragement. We should all give him support as he does show good promise.
I don't mind admitting that I have made a mistake regarding the overall influence Leigh has made on the team, although I still stand by what I have said about his poor performance yesterday. Yes, every player is allowed an off day. And yes, I was watching the same game as you. I will retract what I said about replacinOriginally Posted by RenegadeDS
