Wonder if this'll have any effects on a team sitting in 7th place, just outside the playoff spots.
After gaining promotion last season and having a great season so far in this campaign, he is to leave the club in the summer. He took over and steadied the ship after Uwe Rosler left the club to take over at Wigan Athletic. Sometimes there's no sentiments in football. - view external link

I can't see a manager of his ability out of work for long.
It's a dog eat dog business but what business isn't.Top of the tree one minute ,the bad apple the next if you don't hit targets however crazy they may seem, it's goodbye if you miss them too often. But that's why you get good rewards if you make it.The difference in football is that by and large managers /coaches usually come our smelling of ££££££££'s if they had the right contract and generally walk into another job so no need to feel sorry for them.
Well since this saga began just before the close of the transfer window Brentford's form has dipped considerably. They've lost three of their last four games.Originally Posted by MichiganWolf

The chairman wanted to improve the squad in the transfer window and Warbuton was happy with what he has. He has a small squad and didn't want to upset the squad morale.

Usually you see the opposite re: who wants to improve the squad. Interesting situation. Would think most club execs would love to have a manager willing to sit on the numbers he has.
Having read a fair bit on this subject, it would appear that the following comment, just above the picture of Matthew Benham in the article in the link, sums it all up.
"The decision to part company came as owner Matthew Benham looked to restructure the club where the manager did not have a veto on any new signings and Warburton felt he was unable to work under that system."
I had also read that a number of the players that Benham wanted to bring in were from abroad and were players that Warburton had no knowledge of.
Warburton will be a big plus on the manager availability market and more than likely to be Brentford's loss and another team's gain IMHO. - view external link

I don't think Mark Warbuton will be short of offers once he ha
Marinus Dijkhuizen appointed head coach of Brentford. I have to admit, never heard of him and i'll be surprised if before the appointment that many Brentford had heard of him either. - view external link
He seems to have done well enough in his first Dutch Eredivise season and may have some good contacts. I suspect however, that the Championship may be a much sterner challenge. - view external link
