I never got the blessed one nowt bar me putting dome pics in a triple pic frame which had been nestling in my wardrobe for eons

I gave it to her 2 days before the money spinning fad day so it weren't really even a Valentine gift

In fact I used it a thinking on the hoof thing when I nosey git asked me what I got her

The reason I never got her owt was because she said she didn't wanna buy into the commercialness of it all

What about a card I said

No not even a card she said

I spent the entire Valentines Day and even the w/e waiting for her to complain that I got nowt becuase we all should know that she really meant 'suprise her' but it never happened

She were telling the truth

I have never got Matron a card or flowers or taken her to a restaurant on Valentines Day.

I told her when we first met that I never would do.

I don't see why I should shower her in such luxuries on a certain day of the year, especially as its just a rip off.

She wasn't best pleased at all the first year, so I said O.K. I'll get you flowers, card and take you to a fancy restaurant every Valentines Day but don't expect owt else throughout the year, she declined as I get her loads of flowers through the year which brings a smile to her face, strange though, I can guarantee there's a card from her every Feb

I always buy my wife flowers and a card on Valentines Day but dont take her out to a restaurant, i dont buy expensive roses as she tells me not to as they are overpriced and dont last long. It makes her happy, i realise it is just a commercial rip off but where do we draw the line? I assume you dont buy Janice Xmas presents as well Mike because that is the Mother of all Rip Offs?
