    Apocalypse Now

I stuck 2 fingers up to the Champions League last night and watched this old classic. Not seen it for over a decade and I’d forgotten just how much 70’s synth there is in it. It could easily be the soundtrack to a **** film.

Still a wonderful movie with so many unforgettable scenes. The horror...

So what’s your Vietnam top 3?

    1. Apocalypse Now
    2. Platoon
    3. Deer Hunter (just pipping FMJ)

    1- Full Metal Jacket

    2 - We Were Soldiers

    3 - Platoon

I watched all three Godfather films over the course of a week recently (haven't watched any of them for almost twenty years), absolutely phenomenal.

Speaking of synth, Scarface, better with that soundtrack or without?

Loved all of the films mentioned here except Apocalypse. I didn't like it when it was new and saw it was on TV the other night so tried again. Still don't like it and didn't make it to the end.
Seemed tediously slow to me. Brando appeared to be a mumbling lump and contributed little.
But then I don't like Shawshank either.

3- Southern Comfort (I know it's not a 'Nam film but it's damn fine watching, edge of the seat stuff!)

Netflix Mart, and I must admit I am enjoying BCS more so than BB even if I am only 3 episodes in.

    1. The Killing Fields
    2. Rescue Dawn
    3. Forrest Gump

Loved Bladds comment about Brando being a mumbling lump.

Apocalypse was adapted from Heart of Darkness (1899).
