FAO Oh Well - 6 Music Festival

You must be seeing TWOD this weekend? I'm at Brixton next Tues, can't wait.

They're headlining opening day of 6 Music Festival tonight, supported by Interpol - that's certainly a gig I could work with. Shame it's in Newcastle.

Maybe next year they'll bring the Festival down south.

Yes, we are. But, we really don't get many good bands visiting Southampton. A new place called the Engine Rooms has opened but they seem to be going down the same route as most of the rest by featuring fading 70s & 80s bands and tribute acts. I still usually have to go to London to see anyone worthwhile. The Shepherd's Bush Empire is the main venue I go to as they get a lot of up and coming American bands. I'm looking forward to seeing Sharon Van Etten there.

Yep, my main venues seem to be either Hammersmith or Sheps Bush. My old locals when living in Chiswick. A few beers in the Walkabout first there (where they used to stick on some very good covers bands themselves) before heading into the Empire.

I'm still undecided about Van Etten but should be a good gig nonetheless.

This is the first time I've been to Brixton in years. Think the last band I saw there was Muse before they went all Stadium!!

TWOD on the radio at 6pm apparently, they're opening the Festival. Just heard a good interview with Adam on RadMac, sounds like a really nice guy.

Muse must have passed me by but I've had the car radio tuned to a number of stations, Team Rock is my preferred one (H&J on Talk Sport but the rest of that station seems to be getting worse). Anyway, keep promising to listen to more Muse so have Black Holes And Revelations Full Album.wmv on as I type. What do you mean 'all stadium' did they change mid stream?
