    How did Thorne play?

Is he back to how he was last season or is he still a bit rusty, or cautious in his play?

    Encouraging comeback.

Good passing and a lot of tidying up in midfield. Did the simple things well. Great corner for Buckos first goal. Good time to be subbed because we did need some more energy with 30mins left.

Think Lingaard will come in on Tuesday and Thorne's passing range will make us very dangerous with Ince , Bent & Jesse all making runs.

Overall George operated at about 70-75%.

In my opinion he is the perfect mix between Eustace's control and Mascarellls passing range so all good.

Stamford captured it well there. Not at MoM levels of last season, but you could see what we have missed. Its his physical presence to muscle his was into possesion. He's our own Mattic!

Good mgmt taking him off, and letting him grow back into first team action without over doing it first game back.

Hopefully no reaction and another 70mins on Tues

Spot on. Did the baasics very well and robbed Wednesday of the ball on a few occasions. A bit ring rusty with the odd misplaced pass but give him another couple of run outs and he'll be back at 100%. And he didn't wear any gloves.

agree, very encouraging return , rusty at times but with more minutes under his belt he will be a very important part of our run in .

also agree this is a very good summary. just to add:

there were some lose balls which is to be expected and reminded me of when he first came into the team after his first cruciate injury.

3 or 4 times Wednesday got into dangerous positions and George was exactly where he needed to be (and where omar sometimes isn't). it's funny to see opposition players bounce off him in those situations.

1 pass. yes just 1 pass summed up the quality
