    Lapping

Comments from Springfield Quark this morning. When does news become the property of the media? Don't they have an obligation to report it?

" After Andrew Lapping's meeting at BP on Wednesday evening BBCRC did an interview with him. This morning on the brief 'sports desk' following the news they played a 'tease' of it before stating that it will be played in full on the Friday evening sports programme.

FFS it was recorded on Wednesday evening. It is key news. Very nearly all BBCRC programmes are in a loose format so why wait until Friday evening?. Events may have possibly moved on by then. The value of information is inversely proportional to its age. Surely it is 'One BBCRC'. The sports department (full time employees Newton & Phillips) are obviously determined to keep their 'scoop' until Friday evening.

    I am a bit pissed off. "

It's mightily suspicious the way he was wheeled out just when Nixon & Pattison were coming under pressure. His appearance has relieved the pressure that was rightly building on the owners. But what's he actually said, where is the detail?

It seems from what little he's divulged that he wants the current owners to retain their positions - even after the disaster of the last six years. And he wants to diminish and devalue the position of the trust (a moot point as to if that's a good thing or not.) So that's - give Jenkins and co more power and the trust less.

It sounds like he's doing a fantastic job of sucking up to the trust. If they
