When i get up in the morning, and go into the bathroom for a shave, i open the bathroom window. Most days James the blackbird is in the vicinity, if he isnt already there, he quickly turns up.

Standing in the garden, he looks up at me.

The day before yesterday, James was there, as well as Owen and Annabel, the pigeons. Not only that, i was blessed with Gladys, Peter, and Gynnneth, the sparrows.

In bad weather i crumble about a loaf of bread every day into the garden. If you rub the bread together it will crumble quiet well. Their little beaks cant cope with lumps. Its important to get some of the crumbles under bushes and trees as little birds find it difficult to venture into the open as they may be attacked by predators.

Rich teas biscuits and cake is well received. Apart from that i toss unused roasts, and assorted meats for the bigger animals. I have no problem feeding rats. They feel hungry too.

    That is all.

    Teodore Vinicius.
