PL "B" teams set for JPT

Just read on the dale forum that all but 1 League 2 club have voted for the Premier League to field "B" teams in the JPT. The exception is AFC Wimbledon. I do not know how the League 1 clubs have voted.

Has anybody heard any news on this.

BIG BIG mistake in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more, very sad and completely unnecessary!

I wonder how each PL club will define "B team"!?
Considering how they often play "weakened" teams as their "A team" in the FA and Capital One Cups, does it mean we will see the likes of Rooney, Yaya Toure and Eden Hazard??
By rights, it should be their U18s!!

The concept of the JPT competition was to give clubs with no real chance in the FA and League cup a shot at Wembley.

How can the proverbial 'lower league' cup be open to any other leagues?
