    New striker coming

It says on sky sports that Mclaren is trying to get a striker in on loan before the game on Saturday. TBF we need one don't we. Even when Martin is back it will take a few games for him to get back to match fitness. Ricky Lambert please.. I wish

Yes; it won't be Lambert though. More likely be a benchwarmer from the Prem who has fallen out of favour. There aren't too many about.

No I can't think of anyone available from the PL that would be worthwhile for either party. Perhaps someone from the continent more likely?

Lets put Charles Vernam on the bench.

Perfect time for a youth hero, and by accounts he's the closet to Martin in our youth ranks

Isn't "...a benchwarmer from the Prem who has fallen out of favour." a fair description of Rickie Lambert???

Not saying that I'd want him at Derby but Danny Graham was at Wolves for a bit when their strikers were out. Think he only scored once tho & was sent back. Leon Best comes to mind for some reason!! Like others have said there's not many to choose from. I think we should tough it out with who we have. No ones going to slot straight into our system & Martin should be back soon. Fingers crossed.

I don't often post rumours on here but this one is from close to the core. Stevan Jovetic from Manchester City is on the cards...

Make of it what you will, just don't shoot the messenger.

Would Chris Wood fit the bill ?

He had a great initial impact at Leicester then tailed off, but Martin would be back for then.

I'd be staggered if we got Rickie Lambert. He'll probably be in the England squad at the end of this month, which is a separate debate, but Hodgson will probably look at his performances from the bench in both friendlies and qualifiers.

    Kind Regards

Keep up pal, he's now on loan at Tractor Boys!
