Amazing picture, as that looks like a stoat on a woodpeckers back. Stoats normally bite their victims neck but in this case he thought better of it.not surprising !

Weasel Claw but I am not sure of the antics of them apart from they are generally shy animals / creatures

Weasels can be seen in their thousands around selhurst park on saturday afternoons.

it has to be a weasel cos if it was a stoat the woodpecker would not be big or strong enough to fly with stoat on its back
