    Where's it all gone wrong?

What's the root of our downfall this season? Personally I look at Rosler. I'd have him back in a heartbeat, but for me he's the root to all this. Overspent in the summer, then took too long for his players to gel, they they gel a little but then they all go... The overspending in the summer has cost us massively both financially and in terms if our league status.

Secondly, home form. To me, it's quite clear that the players are absolutely petrified of losing a home game, scared that much that it's in their heads too much and they overthink it and the inevitable happens every week. We ARE a great set of supporters, we still support our team so i don't blame the fans at all for the home form. We are in dire need of a head coach and not a manager, someone to let the players know they can win at home still, not Mackay, he's terrible with man management. I also don't blame Mackay. He inherited all the problems that Rosler left this team with.

I still don't think he's the right man for j

it all went wrong around the time of last years fa cup semi against the gunners, that was when Uwe lost the team and have never recovered. I put it down to one very simple reason, lack of a goal threat, be that one or two good forwards who can put that ball in the net, simple, and tics don't have anyone who can do that.

All the others teams above us have someone who can do that, and that could be tics downfall. Malky needs to sort that out sharpish, either with what exists or get someone proven on loan.

Either way I know I would love to see Holt and Lambert up front for next season.

Martinez getting Wigan relegated would be the first port of call for the demise of the club

boloa are you a lazy journalist in disguise?

bobby did everything he could for the club, it was the unprecedented amount of injuries to the defensive back line that didn't help him and any manager would have struggled to keep the tics up.

The fact that the tics won the fa cup was astounding in itself given the team he had available and the opposition facing him that day.
It was a team down to it's bare bones and it did everything it could to perform perfectly on one day, which it did.

However the league team needed a deeper squad to cope which they didn't have due to the injuries and quantity of games on the run in to the seasons end.

I will take the fa cup win over staying in the prem any day. It was a dream come true for whelan and gave him everything he had worked to achieve including getting into europe.

The differences in quality between Wigan and say an average Championship team like Blackburn are glaringly obvious.
The game they played against Liverpool reminded me of how Wigan used to play ..slick passing football , a decent striker causing a threat ... good midfield play . For me the whole squad at Wigan needs moving out... we are down no doubt about it. relying on a winger to score our goals...the same player that was only a squad player 18 months ago...The rot did start when Rosler spent 6 million on two poor strikers and 5 million on an even worse midfielder in Forshaw.
Wolves got relegated and bounced back.. they are now a decent Championship team.. I do think MM needs to be sacked by this new Chairman , that is if he has control and is allowed to sack him .
