    sutton

Thought marv was best player on park yesterday along with law, skippy and las.expected better from pearo and grant.
Can't fault big lee,s effort and the guy gives everything but think we need a proven goalscorer at this crucial part of the season and big John should be up front with skippy.can't help thinking sutton would have got on the end of these balls into box.

Erwin is a more mobile player, and maybe that's what Baraclough prefers, but Sutton is a better goalscorer. We need goals at the moment and that's what wins games. I would go with Sutton.

Like Big John, always gives 100%, but as soon as he came on the high balls started to be piled into the box, which Pascali dealt with ease. Agree with you about performances yesterday, but hope we keep Sutty on bench. Too predictable when he is on, his obvious enthusiasm masks his lack of pace and ability to run the channels, a centre half's dream.

A centre half's dream is to play against a forward who doesn't look as if he could score in a brothel ie big lee.we need goals as we are not great at stopping them.running the channels is great if something comes of it.we have wide men who should be able to deliver a ball into the box.

I would agree we now have someone who can put a decent ball in with pace (Johnston) and Sutton would make better use of them. There were at least 4 crosses into the box yesterday that Big Sutton might just have made a difference with. Erwins mobile but very little comes off him as he tries to be too clever. He will come good Im sure but think Suttons the better option with the chances we now make.

So the basic question is 'Sutton or Erwin'...?
    Simple answer - Sutton.

It depends on the game and circumstances. If we're playing with 1 man up front and expected to be on the defensive or its an open game then it has to be Erwin. If we're on top and better than the opposition then it has to be Sutton. Horses for courses.

Sutton is still our top goalscorer this season and has played with his back to the opposition goal in every game as we fired high balls up to him to flick on,surely now with the wide players we have in the team the time is right to play Sutton as an out and out striker with quality cross balls being played into the box I'm sure he would get us goals or at least cause problems for the opposition's defence.Skippy could also feed off the chances that would be created.
