    Season tickets..

Having just renewed mine, I was wondering…

Have any current ST ticket holders not renewed, and if so why?

And for all the current ST Holders that have renewed, also why?

For me it’s because I generally enjoy coming to the games now. I know when entering the ground we have a very good chance of beating the opposition and the football is really entertaining.

During Nigel’s final season in charge at Derby I did not renew. Neither did my dad, who had been a season ticket holder for 50+ years… says it all really!! A Mid table or lower finish was pretty much guaranteed, I’d become fed up, bored, and had fallen out of love with football.

a fair weather fan eh? :-O

I've renewed because I know I'll always renew so may as well get it sorted.

I've never been one to understand religion but i always liken it to what dcfc means to me. i agree there were many times when i didn't enjoy coming under clough but it's just something in my blood that i have to keep coming, regardless of how well we're doing (or not).

it's where I'm born and bred. that team represents that.

other than for personal circumstances i can't see anyone not renewing next season. the football is scintillating at times.

i read on the OS the other week that there is only about 1000 new ST's available for next season before renewal dates and over half of them have already been sold.

on a grander scale, premier or champ it's fantastic to get full houses again. it makes for a much better atmosphere and 'match day experience' :-P

I agree totally with your comments in your last line. I had been a season ticket holder since the late eighties at the BBG and then from the day Pride Park opened until a couple of seasons ago.
I have no axe to grind with NC but his Derby County bored the pants off me and the attendance figures now c

I have renewed but had to think hard.

Due to work commitments, I am only generally at home in Derby every other weekend and not at all during the week.

When you see the amount of midweek fixtures anyway, early kick offs at weekends, possibility if promoted of football 6 days a week to suit the telly.

It already looks like on a game per game actually attended basis, I will be in effect paying over £50 per game (Season Ticket / no of games I'll get to).

However to casually support (pay game by game) will be difficult if successful as struggle to get tickets.

    Still, it was only £500

You shouldn't be so committed to work. ;-D

I haven't renewed yet. I probably will though, I do every year.

But then again, I'm not sure I can win whatever happens. On the one hand I don't particularly want to see us get stuffed in the Premier League but on the other hand I don't know if I can face another August of scrolling down the championship fixture list and wishing we could just skip to the end to see what happens.

    I'm with Ramondo on this.
I think Derby and Norwich are the 2 best sides in the Championship this year, so I hope those two get first and second.
However, I really don't want to watch us in the Prem again. So, I'd like us to finish top 2 but then play championship football next season. I know...that doesn't work.
    Anyway, I've renewed and never had any doubt that I would. Over the years, friends have come and gone, but the one constant in your life is your football team. Till death do us part...and then I'll watch from the big South Stand in the sky;
