    the truth about staying up

I've read many posts that the next game is a must win game, the truth is we don't need to win them all but we do need a much better win ratio.

to date we've won 6 games from 29, which is pretty much 1 win from 5 games. If we continue with that then we'll go down or at best make the play off.

with 9 games remaining it's fair to assume we must win 5, i.e. half of our forthcoming games.

Not impossible but given we've only won 6 all season be off pace to assume we'll stay up, the only positive is we're improving each game.

We're 13/8 from the bookies to finish bottom.

So logic dictates we don't need to win on Saturday and given Hamilton are the highest placed off all remaining teams you can argue it's not a must win game. From a confidence perspective and chalking the wins from 5 needed to 4 needed, it would be a hell of a boost.

Sorry meister 1991 not important we win on Saturday but ***** we beat Accies on FRIDAY.From players point of view they mustn't perform like we have in our last two league games against Accies.Better to get points and confidence up as defeat could put players heads down and give a huge boost to Ross County and St.Mirren who have winable games on Saturday. However if we win pressure then goes onto them both.

Thats my take on it we need to start putting pressure on RS and SM when we are playing a day earlier. We keep giving them a get out of jail card and make their life easier the following day. Lose on Friday and we are finished.

Not mathematical obviously but if we lose on friday night i dont see us staying up if we cant beat a team who havnt won in 10 games and lose to a st mirren side who hadnt even won a single home game then we can forget it imo
