    HOW MANY MORE TIMES

    same old problems

we let a very poor side score first and they get the game won

a team with a rookie keeper - how many shots did we have or put player in front of keeper

no players left up field from corners - if you leave 2 up one on each side of the pitch the attacking side has to leave 2 back per each player - therefore leaving less to defend/mark

we now need to beat a confident Crawley - leyton orient and Coventry - with our lacklustre attack and ultra defensive tactics - no chance

    best form of defence is attack - 4 - 3 - 3
    till end of season

will inman play 4 first team again
will colclough make a start or are we waiting till were relegated

if we go down we loose out on 200k from the league

    wigan - blackpool - milwall - shrewsbury - burton
    all big away support

for maybe the boards lack of forsight in transfers

the crewe fans want to break this negative vibe - thats why theres no Alex fans singing etc

get rid of the old codgers on the board who have no money in shares an

If your Crawley or L.Orient Manager you be rubbing your hands at the thought of Playing Crewe to stay in the Div 1.Especially when the Manager comes out with a comment that the Pressure of winning may have affected some today!!Like the last Post say it should have been OLDHAM under Presuure not Crewe.
Defending corners by Crewe is a Nightmare, and taking them a wast of time!
Inman is sad loss to the team but i think he told SD he does not want to play at Left Back again!
Its now Mission Impossible, look at SDs CV End of 2013 in bottom 4
Start of 2014 in bottom 4
End of 2014 in bottom 4
Start of 2015 in bottom 4
March 2015 still in bottom 4
What club would put up with this?
    You guessed it right!
Today was an Example of football of DIV 2 to come.

I think a few more if SD doesn't become more proactive than reactive. Went into damaged control with the 5:3:2 formation over the Xmas period and with some luck it worked. When we went seven pts clear should have tried to utilise the fringes players by changing to a preferred formation for the future, instead of totally ignored them with several getting no time at all. (Cooper a perfect example, apprentice of the year nomination and now playing with no confidence as compared to the start of the season).
Now with the persistence of same formation & same players it appears they're worn out not physically but mentally and the fringe players having not been involved are now under more pressure to perform in a limited period.
We should survive relegation as it is in our control and as previously said play teams around and below us but SD now has to show he deserves to manage this young team moving forward.

What an absolute shambles today. Three shots on target against a poor team with a very poor recent run of results. We were the home side which Davis said was the key to survival in Div 1 so I wonder what kind of excuses he will trot out this time. I do not believe he has the support or the confidence of the players and if I am wrong there were some very poor players out there today and who did not really look good enough for League 2.
I realise that there is not much money about at the Alex, the recent accounts seem to bear this out but Davis is the Manager, he should be managing and imo is not doing that.
    DAVIS OUT NOW.

    re: HOW MANY MORE TIMES

Isn't it a two edge sword?

We are told the leagues get tougher every year as foreign players dominate the PL and so the home grown talent is cascaded down to the Championship or even lower? Does this mean our academy graduates are probably too young and not strong enough physically to compete with most clubs that rely on the more experienced worldly wise Pro's?

The other side is the standard of games we mostly see are arguably not good enough even for L1 and most probably L2 as well and so why is it that our million pound a year academy cannot produce good enough players with all their years of 'coaching' to actually be good enough for this level? And if its not doing that year on year, then why are we spending that sort of hard come cash on a downwards spiral of ideology?

One view may be that we ditch the idea of the loan system and just play every single game with our academy lads and to coin a phrase, to go where they take us and if that is non league, then so be it. At least

    HOW MANY MORE TIMES

Lots of questioning of the way the club is run.

That surely is not the problem, pre Dario days we were the most unsuccessful club in English football, languishing at the bottom of the FL year on year.

From the day we decided to invest in our own players we have prospered and the rest is history as they say !

So on that basis the business model is good and long may it continue.

Our problems are on the field as if you keep conceding circa 80 goals every season then eventually you will be relegated !

I actually almost agree with MikeSB for once,

Playing as many academy players as possible and trying to develop our tactics to get the best out of those players is what made Dario successful and using our league status to attract players to compliment those is what kept us in the championship for 9 years. There's still room in football to play that way, we're just not doing it. We're loaning in too many players and relying on them.

If we go down we've wasted a season of development for Waters, Cooper, Saunders and Baillie to develop, at cost to us, a Stoke player, a Watford player, a City player and a Leeds player.

Whilst I don't necessarily disagree with this sentiment, the manager is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. When we were struggling at the start of the season, (failing to win any of the first 11 league matches) many were screaming for the man to dip into the loan market and bring in top quality defenders, midfielders and strikers. Some were even questioning the merits of our young keeper. I think that one has been dealt with good and proper. I suspect in terms of balance the club have about got it right. Personally, I wouldn't have re-signed Uche. Nothing against the lad, but we did very well without him and he really offers no guile although plenty of "up and at em". I sense that we need a little more than that. Yesterday, against Oldham ( a match we should have comfortably won) too many players did not turn up, for what ever reason. Ness had an off day although improved in the second half, Grant was not at his best, Tate is not a mid fielder and never will be. I like the ide
