BAD NIGHT: Raith 3-0 Queens, Cowden 0-1 Falkirk

Gap now down to 1 point and we have Hearts, Hibs, Rangers and Falkirk next. Play off hopes now looking considerably weaker.

Just have to stick with it...really bad night with no shots on target. Game v Falkirk now a must win. They have Rangers and Hibs in last 2. Need to be close and hope for the best...certainly need to be better than tonight!!

That was 3 going on 6/7

Midfield was non existsant and the should be commanding centre midfielders were absolutely woeful..Steven McKenna must be sitting on the bench fizzing that he's being put behind Mcshane and Miller

Looked like a few players tonight had absolutely no idea where they were playing (Carmichael and Paton in particular)

Horrible display tonight and if they play like that on Saturday then Hearts will have a field day

According to the BBC report, only one attempt at goal by a striker - Reilly after he came on. None by Paton or Lyle.
That is now 2 away wins from 12 under Fowler.

By the looks of it we are lucky it wasn't at least 5-0. Easy chances missed at the end, but by that point we were in disarray and had lost heart and discipline.

The next three games are hard enough to gather points and last night's performance does not augur well to pick up any points against the big 3. With Falkirk's next games v Dumbarton, Raith and Livi I think it is fair to say that when the Bairns visit Palmy for that Sunday game in April they will be a few points in front and if we lose this game it will be all over imo.

Analysis of the season is probably best left until later but one obvious point is our away from in comparison with the teams around us.
Falkirk have got 25 points and Rangers 27 from 14 away games. Hibs have got 28 from 15.
    We've got 16 from 14.
Difficult to know why our away form does not compare with home results or with the other top 4 and is closer to the bottom teams. Has there been an over cautious approach in away games? Seems even when we've had a lot of attack minded players in the team they have been instructed not to attack that much. Seems that there has been a desire to get 1 point in away games rather than 3.
And because we've not picked up a lot of points on the road, there is now little margin for error.

Not only a disastrous result last night but by all accounts a disastrous performance .

Despite being above Falkirk I believe they're now favourites to win the play off place . Our next few games couldn't be any harder and we MUST defy the odds and win as many as possible . Beating and drawing already with Hibs & Rangers should give us some belief we can do it but It's going to be so difficult .

What a difference a few weeks could make to what has been a successful season to date
