    Steve Davis

Well, after this afternoon's result at Bramall Lane I imagine those who were clamouring for an immediate change of manager will be fairly quiet tonight. Which is a shame as whichever way you cut it, that was a fantastic result for the whole team, management included. It would be nice if the likes of Itwasin and others of the same view came on and acknowledged the achievement. I wait with baited breath

C'mon Paul, you know you want to!

I too have been a bit frustrated that we've been a bit negative of late but - wow! - what a brave team selection today!
3 strikers? - at Brammall Lane?
    Well done Gaffer!

Yeah, I know, we are far from safe just yet but let's enjoy this one with as much relish as the select few "enjoyed" last week!

When I saw the line-up thought total lunacy. So credit where credit's due. Still think that over-reliance on loan players will come back to haunt us. A wasted season for the likes of Saunders and Waters.

I hesitate to disagree on such a day filled with bounteous joys (and 2 goals), but the loan players have been instrumental in us achieving 45 points. And it's been tough.

Saunders and Waters, when fit, have had a fair few games against decent opposition (the U21s are well worth watching).
Where I agree wholeheartedly is that the Manager and his team deserve oodles of credit for today's victory.

Was going to complain that we only had 1 shot and a goal till they equalised on 50+ mins, adding only another 4 shots and a goal.
Is it a case of quality over quantity, luck or something else thats missing.
Sorry to sound negative after a fantastic win, but.

Great effort today - just goes to show how quickly things can change following BC, Preston, Rochdale & Oldham results and performances.

Bold team selection which paid off. Good to see LDV and Uche together for the 1st then what a breathe of fresh air having Coco back.

    Need to keep going now!

Yes Nev. You are not being negative, but asking a valid question (only my opinion - I wasn't there).
However there are loads of posters who went and are quite capable or writing balanced, readable reports. I look forward to them.

A massive win today and a lot of credit has to go to Steve for this win, no luck in this game even sky admitted we were worth the win, well deserved by everyone involved including those supporters who made the trip over. The best part is this win will keep the trolls quiet, where is Paul by the way. Biggest win of the season and probably most unexpected Paul must have been gutted when that winner went in, he was probably getting ready for his vitriol of abuse and negativity.

A lot has been said about Colclough on here, I've been critical myself, lets hope this kick starts his career again and he can play his part in helping us to safety he played his part today, so well done and welcome back to the fold, its like having a new player who can produce that bit of quality when needed.

Credit to everyone today, good team selection which I think took Sheffield by surprise.

We were excellent in the first half, and started the second half well, should have been two up but for Uche's greed.

Sheffield were decent if not a touch one dimensional, Anthony Stewart coming onto the field stabilised us again and for the last 15 minutes there was only ever going to be one team that would win the game.

Wasn't sure whether Ryan's shot was deflected as it seemed to move in the air.

A special mention for two much maligned (on this site) players Greg Leigh and Paul Rabchuka who were both excellent.

However for me the MOM was Mr reliable Anthony Grant, tireless in midfield broke the play up and a rock when the pressure was turned up in the second half.

A win on Friday and I can see us going on a similar run to the one we had in Jan /Feb

    Don't knock it, SD.
Season long loans are as good as permanent signings at this club.
I think most would agree that Tate, Ness, Leigh, Uche and Ajose have in the main been good ones.

Where you might have a point is the lack of game time for the likes of Waters and Saunders. perhaps they could have been loan signings as well? Dunno. Don't have access to the inner sanctum to find out.
Even my neighbour, Alex Morris's uncle, has just sold up so I can't check with him either!!
