have to be honest i for the life of me cant understand why mckenna s being left out of the side to be honest mckennas been a stalwart of the queens side over the last few years i gotta feeling if he dont get game time this could be his last in a queens shirt a player of his stature could still play at the highest level wasnt at the game but from what ive seen hes still a better player than lovejoy whos very inconsistant and hasnt been the same since mark kerr left just my opinion though

I think with Millar and McShane both playing the midfield is too lightweight.
Although, in Millar's case, "lightweight" is maybe the wrong word.

Perhaps you have overlooked that McKenna has been recovering from a serious injury and the manager must make his choice accordingly. I'm sure a fully fit McKenna will always be in the manager's plans.

I thought McKenna put in a terrific shift yesterday full of energy and purpose and was surprised to see him being substituted by McShane.
I felt the midfield lost out in presence after his departure and his showing alongside Millar looks like our best available midfield pairing.
However, as Admin notes above the manager maybe still feels he needs to be sparing with his return to full fitness.

FAO Fruitloop - where are you getting Mckenna's stats from ? - he has made 160 starts and came off the bench 26 times according to the Queens statistician in the programme.

I can confirm to u that mckenna is fully fir and is very upset that he isn't being picked and other players are wordering why he isn't being picked

    re: mckenna

If, as is being implied, McKenna is not yet fully fit, I would prefer him to start games and be replaced if or when necessary rather than coming on as a late sub. We should be looking to dominate midfield from the start and he gives us the edge to do that.
Although I am no expert, I felt that his body language during the pre-match warm-up prior to the last Raith Rovers game indicated that he was less than happy not to be starting.

NO Loopy friendlies do not count in players official statistics - tbh in the main they are a waste of time watching them but good for getting players up to match fitness etc.
