I know that is a dig at Rat, but let's face it, it's closer to his actual value than £15m!!Originally Posted by Rapid

Liverpool are plotting a £15million summer raid for Will Hughes if Derby County fail to win promotion to the Premier League.
The 19-year-old midfielder could be heading to Anfield according to Daily Star Sunday now that the Rams bid to go up is faltering.
Any move would hand the youngster with the daunting task of filling Steven Gerrard’s boots but Brendan Rodgers has been a long-time admirer and having been set to make a move last summer, having been attracted by Hughes’ sizzling form during the 2013/14 campaign.
Hughes, who penned a new four-year deal at the start of the season has figured in 43 games for Derby this term and has scored three goals.

You know your football Tricky and you know really that Hughes is a class act; far more so than some of the other numpties who have been bought for big money. The list is endless...Hughes is class and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him in a Liverpool first team shirt at some point in the future.![]()

I would compare Will to Joe Allen, a player who is a regular part of Liverpool's match day 18 and who starts a reasonable number of games.
However, as I'm sure we all thought at the time he was signed, £15m was too much for him.
I think Brendan may have learned from this.
Joe Allen and Will Hughes are both £6m players!
Coutinho was £8.5m, and he is better than both. If clubs continue to demand
Unfortunately this story doesn't seem to want to go away. It would be a disappointment to lose Hughes but it will probably happen at some point. Personally I would rather he went anywhere else than to the scouse scum. Any talk of being a replacement for the beloved king scouser Gerrard would ensure failure for any new signing.Originally Posted by nickyd63
