    Slattery off to Queens Park

That's young Patrick Slattery off to Queens Park on loan for the remainder of the season, which I think will be very good for his development as QP push for the title. Since Johnston left, he's not been given his chance. I'd like to see more players go out on loan, Aiden Smith being one i'd be pleased to see starting games and scoring goals for another club, help his confidence, help him mature, then bring him back in. If we were to bring Johnston back in, I think it would do wonders for the club. It is looking very likely that we may lose some of our main players in the summer. i.e Reilly, Holt, Durnan etc, and Johnston has proved himself working with youngsters. Just a thought after watching the last couple of games.

Can you confirm mate that Patrick was already at Queens Park earlier this season and then came back at Palmerston but never got near the first team ?

Yes mate, believe that is what happened. Not 100% sure why.

I suppose loan deals can be looked at in two ways.

Either, the club is looking for the player to gain some playing time/experience,or they have decided that the player is not going to become part of the long term plans and giving them an opportunity to move on.

Don't know what it is in this case though.
