Thread: What does Mac really want?

    What does Mac really want?

What would be the best result for Mac this season? Glorious defeat in another play off? leaving him free to move to Newcastle perhaps.
If Chris martin does not play again then conspiracy theories will believe he didnt strenghten or replace when he should have.
If the Rams go up it would have been difficult (not impossible though) to leave. But then facing a season of struggle and probable relegation and a subsequent loss of reputation , unreasonable fans backlass and a sacking..If they stay in the Championship he can blame injuries and leave for the Toon with head held reasonably high..
If he does then is Simmo the man for the job? I dont think so.
We will see on friday when the team is announced...

    Simple answer...

Steve McClaren is one of the hardest working, most honest and decent people in football.

So what does he really want? The very best for the people he works with/ for and success on the football field.

To think or suggest anything else is both disrespectful and highly misguided. :/

I am not suggesting but asking the question.
I overhead this very conversation on Saturday afternoon when sitting in the barbers. 2 Rams fans discussing with the hairdresser (male of course)

I guess he would like to be competing in the top six of the PL. McClaren seems a proud man with a bit of an ego. Probably still bitterly disappointed about his short unsuccessful spell as England manager and would see some good

Yes it was, he proved that when he left Forest. He agreed with Nigel Doughty that they had both made a mistake and walked about without the £1m+ he could have demanded (unlike some managers that are 'less loved' by Derby and Forest). Mr McClaren and Mr Doughty, 2 real men of real quality!

If you ask do I think Steve McClaren is a great football manager? Then I would say, he's OK.

This is a disrepectful post from ,to use your words, an unreasonable fan.

Like quite a few on here recently it gives MacClaren no credit. Yet the performances of the club since he arrived have been very good. We have seen a hig
