Do you mean you don't want to tell us anything about the financial decline under Rush / MacClaren?

Wonder why. Reticence is not your normal style.

Oh dear there's always one jumps in without looking ... Or thinking. How did I know I would probably be you.

When have I said anything except "if we don't go up this year I fear THIS years accounts". If you actually stopped to think you would realise half of these books Clough was managing the club ... Opps!

Turnover up but profit/deficit not improved. Umnnnnn

Wages up by £3m is the interesting bit... and much less that I thought to be honest. When you consider it includes:

    * Under Clough: New senior pro wages for Grant, Martin, Russell + new contract for Bryson.
    * Sacking and payoff for Clough + coaching staff.
    * New salaries for McLaren + coaching staff
    * Loan fees and wages for Thorne, Wisdom, Bamford, Dawkins and Whitbread.
    * 3rd place + Playoff final bonuses for players and coaching staff.

I think on the whole it shows Derby were still running a very tight ship last season.

Personally I will wait until I can download the accounts rather than try and interpret anything from the press release which no doubt tells just the parts of the story that the principals wish it to say: hence the bright outlook.

    Back soon

I think it's fair to say that DCFC currently appears to be a well run club on and off the field. Other than that how many people have the time or inclination to worry about how many toilet rolls and tea bags they buy ??

Your sarcasm is unbelievable, talk about jumping in without looking. Clough was in charge for half of the accounts then. Let me see, half of 46 games is 9 or maybe half of 365 days is 90 days, please tell me which, so I can pass it on to my old maths teacher!

As you state the profit/deficit has hardly changed, but the points total increased from 61 points to 85 points.

Oh dear need to go back and read it properly again! Basic English is rare these days for quite a few.

Where did I say "half the time"? You may want to speak to your MATH teacher about reading the text properly

The books in that year would have started with Clough and the contracts he already set up. This was then inherited and changed by McClaren in some quarters.

Theses a big difference between metaphoric and literal. Those with enquiring minds will never assume assume they will quit if they will end up with egg on their face. Youve egged and floured yourself all by yourself ... Even the students I work with know not to make such school boy error ... Comedy what were you saying

I can only hope that for all of our sakes that you're not teaching your students English grammar, or indeed language !
