    derbys new pitch for next season

    Derby County's iPro Stadium pitch is due to be replaced at the end of the season to make way for a brand new state of the art surface

    are they going to have artificial turf thats what it sounds like to me

    i got this information from football aid web site

    Well the pitch is certainly poor this season, but surely it won't be an artificial surface?

    Angry is right, I think they are called 3G pitches which is the next way forward. Cheaper to maintain too. You can get 50 hours play time a week compared to 5 hours play time as at present.

    3G & 4G pitches are the ones you use to play 5 aside on, not the same as the pro pitches which weave artificial grass into the real stuff.. Very much a science now.

    Don't mind whether it's 3G or 4G, at least I will able to get latest scores on my phone.
