    Dear Derby fans

    Please please read the link.

67 year old lifelong Blackpool fan Frank Knight has settled out of court with Blackpool FC owners for £20,000 He made comments on Facebook to his 34 followers. A fellow Blackpool fan set up the link below in hoping to help this gentleman with a few quid. The word of football, radio, national media and celebs has been amazing. Already we have £6,500.

Whilst all fans acknowledge that the internet is not a free for all, these actions are clearly ones that really make a mockery of the libel system in many peoples opinion to a pensioner.

If you agree and have a spare quid - please donate to help this chap in his time of need. Football will always be a passionate business to us all and this absolutely ridiculous action is just too much.

If someone could do me the link I'd be eternally grateful. And Derby fans have been outstanding in their support of Blackpool FC's plight.

    Cheers

Have to agree, its bizarre what has been done up there and takes the "we are financially stable club" to a ridiculous degree.

You would have thought that having won the legal action, the Oystons would have waived the damages payment to demonstrate that all they wanted to prove is that the allegations were false and protect their reputation.

    Thankyou for your support chaps.

Any highlighting of this utter carnage happening at my club is 100% appreciated.

I feel proud tonight that fellow football supporters are donating a few quid.

Having people scanning the internet to try and find libellous comments is just outrageous. I have NO doubt that my post on your board has been read and assessed this evening. I've been very careful with my wording.

It could be said that there is a new cottage industry begun at my massively cash rich football club.

I read about this and feared this would be the outcome. Dont think the guy deserves this, right or wrong it seems disproportionate and I am inclined to offer support.

What is the point of owning a football club if you destroy it as seems to be happening at Blackpool, owners forget that in the long run a club is defined by its fans.

Just a thought about this, if the gentleman is a hard up pensioner, he will have a very low disposable income. The court will have no alternative but to accept a very low repayment program. This will effectively mean he will never pay much of the money back. If however the 20 k is raised, your illustrious owner will gain 20 k so is this counterproductive? I fully accept the pensioner may well feel the dept hanging over him very stressful. If you know the gentleman or know anyone who does, I would like to know his views on this. If he just wants the dept to be replayed I will gladly donate.

Done. Chucked my £10 in. Its worth it as I feel for the Blackpool fans and I told them this on the comments I left. I told them us rams fans know what it's like to be run by crooks. And for them to do this to an old gentlemen is nothing short of discussing.
