    Home support today

Take out the away fans and there was around 3800 Crewe today which for a crucial huge game was quite frankly pathetic, cheaper ticket offer needed for the game, apathy in the board and club yet again!

At half time the announcer repeatedly stated the reduced prices for the away game at Coventry, Why cannot our club reduce prices for end of season games especially when there is a lot to play for . The manager wants to fans to back the players but you need to lower the prices to get them in the ground at this ***** time. Will the directors listen to ideas from the fans

Reduced prices have been mentioned on here many, many times, most people agree it seems like a no brainer, esp for a one off such as Bradford.
I think the boards steadfast refusal of any ticket discount deal highlights the somewhat distant relationship they seem to have with the fans. I haven't met a season ticket holder who dosent agree with the concept, they want to see the ground full and they would still be well ahead over the course of the season by purchasing a season ticket.
On a longer term basis the GRE should be cheaper than the main stand. The view is dramatically worse in the GRE so cannot understand justification of charging the same prices.
Also what are the club doing to try and tap into the large Polish community that lives in Crewe?. Potentially a big market being ignored.

Rather than a one off game discount I would rather see a total revamp of the pricing policy at Gresty Road; I would have a lower price at the Gresty Road End, I've sat in there on a couple of occasions and have to admit the view is not as good as the Main Stand, so how the same price can be charged is a bit beyond me. I would also have a discount rate for teenagers, for both the reason teenagers can be teenagers in that end and from the clubs point of view, it makes security that little bit easier by having all the boustrious elemnt together, also keeping young fans excited about attending games.
Next thing is a large discount for children of 12 and under in the Railway End but not for the Main Stand or the Gresty Road End.
Then various prices for the main stand with tickets closer to the centre of the pitch being more expensive than those at either side.
That way people pay a price that they feel is more affordable to them, people know what kind of people will be in part of the groun

This is not a dig at those Crewe fans that live elsewhere.

Too many people in Crewe that are contempt with sitting in their armchair watching football on TV. On my walk to Gresty Road yesterday, my old man and I were stopped on 3 separate occasions by morons stating the the Alex are a load of rubbish and they wouldn't waste their money. Whatever happened to supporting your local club? How do you get these people back to Gresty Road? I am not sure that it's all about price. People want to be entertained and unfortunately at the moment that just isn't happening.

    Home support today

I have lived away from Crewe for the past few years, but I am always surprised at the apathy towards the club when I return to the town.

Football is all about today, and at present things are not great.

However over the past 25 years (thanks to Dario in the main) , there can be no club in the lower divisions with such a positive image nationally !

As for people travelling distance to games, its no biggy its just what you do when you follow a team.

I've always noticed in Crewe there seems to be a huge Liverpool following. I've seen pubs packed with folk watching red scousers both before and after the Alex have been at home (the curse of live TV Saturday football - shouldn't be allowed). These people will probably never go a real game anyhow so it's perhaps best to really concentrate on bringing younger folk in. Catch t

    re: Home support today

I took my grandson for his first footy match to the previous home game (alongside his lunch box, and games pack to keep him occupied) He is just five years old, he enjoyed the atmosphere BUT I had to pay £6.50 for the privilege as they wouldn't give a reduction in the Ringway stand where I had my ticket. Not a way to encourage us oldies to bring the infants, I remember when my children first went at this age, they were lifted over the turnstiles. The season ticket prices for youngsters are reasonable but babes in arms!!! The Directors should realise, that this is not a good policy to attract the really young.!!!!!!!!
