Alex quiz ion Sentinel website

Just made my missus of 26 years do the Alex quiz on the Sentinel website.
She got a very poor 2 correct:
Gresty Road and Steve Davis
To be slightly fair to her, she has only been to watch one game in the last 20 odd years. I did used to drag her to watch them in our courting game.
She still brings up a rainy 0-0 draw away to Grimsby stood in an open side

If my memory serves me right I think they were called the Old Alexandrians.

I thought Dave Walton is our record signing at £750,000?!

From memory I thought Walton was same as Brammer - 500k.

I agree with Alex_Crew.

When we signed Walton I am sure it was reported as £500k, rising to £750k with appearances. I even have some old Championship programmes which refer to our record signing as £750k for Dave Walton.

History appears to have been rewritten.
