I'm currently having an alcohol free 2015 to help raise funds for the wonderful Meningitis Now Charity, A Charity very close to my heart.

My story:
In January 2004 my youngest son Harvey-James fell ill with meningococcal septicaemia which is a deadly form of meningitis, Harvey was just 9 months old at the time, Despite such awful adversity placed in front of him at such a young age Harvey battled back to full fitness with the amazing help and support shown on the PICU ward at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, Harvey lost all of his toes on both feet and some digits on each hand but now enjoys life to the full as boy his age should, He has amazing strength and courage in everything he does and is now 12 years old. I cannot express enough how different Harvey’s story would have been without charity’s like the Mening

Really sorry to hear about your son mate and glad to see he is living life to the full now, I have a friend whose son lost his leg at three years old to the same illness and he too is making a good recovery ..You are collecting for a very worth while charity indeed and I have put you a proper link up.. Thank Alf and best wishes to your friend's son - I'm now entering the longest alcohol free spell I've had in the last 22 years and can honestly say as much as I'm missing a beer I've never felt better - 7 months to go
