    Strange feeling today

Before the game, I was pretty nervous on how we'd get on. Hoping for the point we needed but not feeling particularly confident with our current performances.

One down after a couple of minutes but hey, plenty of time to reply. However for the rest of the first half, any belief of making the top six just ebbed away.
Did the players know what shape they were supposed to be playing? They looked clueless! All I could think in the second half was if we were to score against this poor Reading side, we'd be annihilated in the PO semis.

I left the ground after the final whistle knowing we didn't make the POs, not though bad luck or poor refereeing but because we are not playing anywhere near top 6 standard. Strange to think from being top in February, I believe we were spared embarrassment in the semis.

All part of following the Rams

Strange feeling for me as well.

I didn't go, wasn't really interested. I've been losing interest for quite a while, despite the added interest since Clough went.

So I did some work, took the dogs for a walk, starting building a shed. I'd almost forgotten we were playing by the time I had a text to say it was 0-1 at half time. Watched a few minutes of the second half but got bored and went back to building the shed. Couldn't believe the final score when I heard it.

All I can say is... it's a blessing. Wouldn't want to watch that lot getting crucified in the Premier league.

I'm pretty sure McClaren will have done that in private, theres some comfort in the fact that at least he didnt crucify them afterwards, imagine if Clough had still had been in charge? Bent and Hughes would be on their way back to wherever they came from!!

Oh well at least we are spared the agony of the play offs and next season we will all hope it will be different, but without the expectation.

I just hope that the rebuilding process starts now and we are not scratting around for players come August.

If clough had been in charge and had the same backing as mcclaren we may very well have been celebrating promotion.

You keep talking about mcclaren as if you know him and trying to making him out to be a saint. Much as you did the opposite with clough making out he was out of control and the players didn't play for him.

    Not a whiff of objectivity!!!

Strange feeling for me today. Sadness that the te didn't make it especially after all the abuse I had taken. The fact my predictions were far closer to the mark scant consolation to what happened. The feeling now is we are looking over the abyss to another decline in and go theforeld
