I thought Carvers comments on MOTD last night were poor, very unprofessional. Honest, raw, heart felt? Yes, so in some respects refreshing. But you can't go around making accusations like that because you 'think' something 'might' be the case. He may be convinced of it but that doesn't mean he's right, so to make such a comment isn't great.

Reminded me of Nigel and Thomas, even though that was only local media.

This might be true or could just be an interpretation of what McClaren said in his post match interview - "I'm meeting the Board to discuss matters" - vague to say the least.

On 606 on Radio 5, Savage put forward the view that if Newcastle want McClaren, then they may as well get him in now with 3 games left.

We will no doubt see what the truth is soon.

IF he does go the i will be very disappointed with him, yes I can accept that its a bigger better paid job nearer to where he lives, but with Derby he had a chance to do something special and maybe would be wiser to stay - still I guess if it goes tits up he gets a massive pay off!!

Hi guys, sorry you lot didn't make it, thought you were nailed on early in the season. If Carver's judgement about who should be the mew man at SJP is as good as his selections on teams and tactics, we're in the shoite even more than I thought! Can't understand this preoccupation with McLaren apart from the fact that he has a home round the corner and is handy. By the haunted look on his face yesterday, he doesn't even need to think about coming to work for The Fat One, he's poisonous! Mourhino could come up here and he's find it impossible to succeed under this regime. McLaren needs to stay with you guys!

I would tend to agree, IF he has any sense McClaren would stay where he is, but I guess that depends upon his ego - if he thinks he "desreves" to be managing in the premier league (assuming you stay up!) then he will take an offer if it comes -and its loking like he would seeing as he refuses to categorically say NO he wouldn't

You can't deny he is a good businessman, he makes money - but his dealings with rangers and the way he has handled your club shows what his agenda is.

I do feel for you lot, spent 4 years up in newcastle in the the 80's, you have passionate support for the club, which should by rights be a top 6 prem club, but a series of odd owners has shackled any progress.
