    2015/16 Season

This will be another interesting summer.. Last year was about keeping what we had and getting them on longer contracts. This year not so much.. Reputations have been tarnished.
Whoever is in charge, please start to build from the back. It was a problem under Clough (we all knew it was not strong enough), now SM has not addressed this.
Now we see the results of not dealing with a problem that is/was staring us in the face.
Keogh, Buxton have to go... Christie, Forsyth as well. Albentosa should still be given time but he needs to sort himself out sharpish.

All the good attacking teams are good because they have a strong defence.. It lets them play without fear.. Basic stuff and we need to get back to it.

Interesting that both watford and Bournemouth had ex prem goalies, from Spurs and Soton respectively, Burnley ditched Grant and got Heaton in and got promoted, QPr of coiurse had green (who almost singlehandley saved them at Wembley) so maybe thats the place to start?

I'd keep Keogh, its unfair to judge him when the back four has changed all season, Christie has the makings of a fine player you can't buy young players to develop and expect them not to have drop in form.

Albenstosa needs a pre season and then we will see - but Shotton, Whitbread, warnock and Forsyth are not needed.

Will Thorne ever be fit? Good cover at defensive mid is a must and a forward who can cover Martin.

So CB, RB, LB, DM and ST is the minimum required - anyone got a spare £5 million?

Only way to fund that is to raise it from player sales.

I would have dropped Grant earlier but keepers seem to be undroppable for some reason. It did not appear to hurt Mignolet or Hart when they were dropped.

Keogh mate... Seriously? Park footballer and a poor one at that. Never liked him from his first game I saw him against Mansfield in preseason under Clough.

How many times does that idiot need to go to ground. That first goal yesterday was shocking. Totally committed himself again. You are taught to stay on your feet and not commit. He does exactly the opposite. He must just be thick, time to go. Buxton is a much better defender imo.

    Totally agree
Sadly though it looks like we need a bit more than that, Maclaren needs to go as well good coach

You wont be surprised to know that i don't agree with your assessment of McClaren, sure some of the blame for not at least reaching the play offs has to be his, but show me a manager who hasn't made mistakes?

The players have to take some blame and there are mitigating circumstances which have been gone over endlessly.

I'd rather he stayed, chopping and changing managers isn't usually a good strategy (although it didn't seem to hurt watford), however if he goes I'm not fussed, just as long as its sorted quickly so whoever is in charge can start the job of rebuilding and preparing for next season now.

Mate if you seriously think he was to blame for the first goal you have rocks in your head
