Our defence has been made to look better

We took 12 points from 42 which is nearly a third of the season. this equates to around 39 points for the whole season.

NOW take out the fact we have some of the best goal scorers in the division...got us the 3 all and 4 all draws...Imagine if we had only the strike force Wigan, Milwall, Brighton.

So in summary the recent run of form, from our defence, is alot more worrying to me than it has actually shown on paper...it could even be as low as 20 to 25 points for the whole season if it was allowed to carryon under the current regime without good strikers..

This defence needs sorting ASAP...IT'S THAT SERIOUS. the defence should of been sorted ages and ages ago...6 clean sheets, or whatever it was, has clouded the judgement that needed making and to be honest in that run we did ride our luck..I remember our 3 nil win down at reading and they should of scored a few times

Theres some truth in what you say, but our defensive record is still in the top third of teams in the division.

The lack of a settled back four and Grants wobbles have a lot to do with the last 3 months and of course the loss of Thorne, Eustace and mascarell.

Agree... it is judged over the whole season...but if we had taken the 12 points out of the first 14 games of this season, instead of the other way around, Derby would of been 4th bottom of the table, 1 point above 3rd bottom Bolton Wanderers and this would of been with Bent, Ince etc as the strike force...It doesn't take much to realise a 46 game table has saved his bacon due to the timing of the terrible run

I'm sure if it had been the first 14 games of the season then he would of been sacked with no prospect of the Newcastle Job...football also has its luck when it comes to timing
