It all started with a crazed gang of nationalist zealots setting out with hatred in their hearts and murder on their minds. The heir apparent to the evil empire must die! And he was crushed under a pile of tens of millions of fellow Europeans who died in his wake.

Fast forward to the last decade of the century and the piles of bodies in the same city and its environs. They thought they were fighting and dying for their wee bit hill and glen but they were just the latest in a long line of expendable pawns in the big game power mad war****ers play. And nationalism is most often the tool; likely because it’s the most reliable one.

And in between times there was the most unspeakable slaughter of humankind imaginable, fuelled from flags, fatherland and fascism.
