Balls Up for Labour and Farage PM for Trciky.

Ed Balls loses his seat - he thought he might be the next Labour leader

Milliband trounced. Lib Dems wipe out. And Tricky's the UKIP fanboy - guess you won't even come close to 10 seats. Mark Reckless defeated in Rochester and your hero Farage, might lose and has said he'll quit within 10 mins. Paddy Ashdown will eat his hat,

But my party - the Conservative Party is heading for a majority. Well done voters.

That said I hope Boris Johnson doesn't succeed Cameron as PM.

    Oh dear Farage lost.

I demand a recount and another and another and another, until he wins...

Tricky you wanted UKIP, al you got is SNP.

But if it's any consolation, Basie's Greens only won 1. So the 2 of you are tied.

I see a serious relationship forming.

Technically the Tories require only 3 more seats to be able to form a majority Govt, with Sinn Fein and the Speaker not taking part in any confidence votes.

Obviously I out of the loop a bit here.

My take on things is this.

How wrong and corrupt is British politics?

How can a party who comes in third only get one seat?
How can a party who didnt as many votes, get 50 odd seats?
If you think the UKIP ideals are going away, youre wrong. a third of the country has made immigration its number one concern. That hasnt changed and the EU position hasnt changed.

The reason Labout slumped and Tories got more than they should, is quite simply the SNP:

Remember them Romans? I said a year ago, that they would wipe out Labour in Scotland and you scoffed at it.
Well they cost labour seats a plenty(more than a small population should have) and put the willies up so many people. That they have voted Tory to stop Milliband forming an alliance.

The SNP are an affront to UK: They are right up there with Sinn Fein for radicalisation.
Get rid of the Jocks, we dont want/need them.
Reform the way votes are counted, then youll get a fairer government.

    Green - ***-Ukip - ?

I wonder which pantomime villain they'll create for the next election to push all you 'protest' voters toward?

Btw I don't want 4 million Southern right wing racists dictating how I should live my life in the midlands so leave it as it is thanks

5 years is a long time in politics. This is as good as it gets for the SNP and UKIP. The is as bad as it gets for the Lib Dems. I think people like Trickytreesreds and others who are annoyed with something forget 1 crucial thing. The British people always prfer stable govt over chaos and that's the verdict of the elections.

The referendum will answer the question once and for all.

If really UKIP was so good they would have at least retained Rochester or wwin more. Labour needs to work out its direction and be the alternative again.

Well done Es***red52 who voted for stability and a better Britain.

Close to 4m people voted UKIP in this election.

In 2010 45.6m people voted overall.

This year the overall figure has increased due to a higher turnout.

So how is close to 4m a third of the country?

However, agree it is an unfair system that needs overhauling.

Also the reason Labour lost was not due to the SNP factor but because Labour have vacated the middle ground. Therefore those voters that occupy the middle ground voted Conservative.
