    Happy retirement to Russell Anderson

    Announced his retirement yesterday.

A very dependable performer for Aberdeen for years, even alongside players that were never fit to wear the shirt.

On his day and in his era, the best defender in Scotland. More recently, a solid defender who made up for a lack of pace with other qualities.

Sorry to see that injury has blighted his final season as a pro, but delighted that he managed to get his hands on some silverware last season. Richly deserved.

    All the best Sir Russell.
